Plumbing Update (Basement Tub)

The Basement Tub has filled again with about 6-8 inches of water.

Poured in the Heavy Duty Stuff.  I am figuring, if the water goes down (hopefully when, not if) i will first replace the filter on the pipe, and then do a quick snaking of the drain just to try and dislodge any problem areas.

The Kitchen Clean Up 03/02/2019

These are pictures taken by Sahara of the work that she did in the kitchen.

The Bathroom Closet 03/02/2019

Sahara began the adventure that is the Bathroom Closet.  For now, she was able to separate out linens and towels and blankets into bags that I have already begun taking home to launder.  My goal, is to knock having to clean any of the fabric items, and make going through that a ton easier.

P.S. He has a Lot Lot Lot of towels.
Be prepared, if you need towels, don't buy any until you see the stack

Bedroom Wall Cleaning and patch repair. 03/02/2019

There was a very random spot above Mickees Bed where plaster had clearly fallen away, and he had just paint over it.

I cleaned it, hit it with some spackle, and sanded it down to level the ceiling out.

So the first cleaning here was with just Dawn and water, and it cut through a large batch of the smoke stain.

Yes, that's a cocoon to some type of insect along the top edge.   I believe Jason and I counted there to be eight in the room.  They don't appear to be old, as they aren't covered in the same soot.

No matter, they got's ta go.

If the pattern here seems random, it because there were times when Sahara needed the step stool for work in the kitchen and pantry, so I worked on the higher stuff first.

Once the wall was fully cleaned, I refilled the bucket with two cups of vinegar, some dawn dishwashing liquid, and water, and did a full pass again.  it really helped to brighten the wall, and the room smelled a bit better by the end. One wall down, three and a ceiling to go.

Good solid steps in getting the room back to it's glory.

Cookie Jars 03/02/2019

The Cookie Jars (of the ones found so far) have now got a safe home in the Pantry, thanks to Sahara who went through and read the dates on all food items and cleared the space. She then gathered the Jars and neatly place them in their temporary home.

Funny enough, this is the spot where I remember the Cookie Jars being when Patrick passed away, so to me, they have returned to their home.
